This beginners class is perfectly suited to those that are new to sewing or have never used a sewing machine before, building up your confidence to make a cross over apron. The apron is made using a no-waste method, utilising just 1 meter of fabric to create this practical and stylish item that can be worn in the kitchen, garden or studio.

What to bring: A medium weight woven fabric such as linen or cotton canvas (1 meter length x 1.40cm wide), matching machine thread. These can be purchased from us on the day of the course if preferred.

We will provide: sewing machines and a sewing kit for you to use on the day.

Your tutor: Laura ter Kuile

Maker of our gorgeous wooden thread boards, Laura has been sewing clothes for herself for 10 years. Slowly transforming her wardrobe from shop bought clothes to hand made garments. She loves sharing this knowledge especially with those wanting to learn the basics and discover the joy sewing your own clothes can give you.
