We are an independent fabric shop and sewing school, based in Bristol, in the South West of England.

We stock a wide range of dressmaking fabrics, from colourful cottons, durable denims, drapey rayons and snuggly jerseys, to help you create your dream handmade wardrobe.

Message from our owner Sarah:
 

I opened Like Sew Amazing after sewing in my spare time for over 30 years. I decided to turn my hobby into my dream job by starting my own fabric shop!

As a dressmaker, I was frustrated with the lack of good quality, affordable fabrics that were suitable for the modern sophisticated sewist so I decided to fill that gap in the market by creating a carefully curated selection of apparel fabrics in my shop.

My favourite fabric to sew with is rayon and my favourite colour is leopard print – the ultimate neutral!

I love our crafty community and really look forward to seeing all of your makes.

Fantastic place! I was so happy to see a local sewing shop opening up and have not been disappointed. Lots of lovely independent patterns, sewing accessories and sewing related gifts too. What I love most, however, is the Thursday night sewing club. It's so nice having a dedicated time to sew, all with a cup of tea and an expert on hand if you get stuck! My favourite sewing shop by a mile! LSA has an amazing range of really great quality fabrics as well as any notions or haberdashery you might need for a project. Sarah is always lovely and so helpful with advice on projects and pairing fabric and patterns together. Would highly recommend!

I've visited Like Sew Amazing a couple of times now and each time come away with beautiful fabrics and great advice. The ladies that run the shop are obviously experienced sewers and didn't hesitate to offer fabric and pattern suggestions when I wasn't sure. A much needed quality fabric store in a great spot. I would definitely recommend a visit.
